Harper's Bazaar listed Tec Petaja (the TEC of TECHEL & Co) as one of the 40 best wedding photographers in the world; BRIDES named him in their short list of the top photographers in the industry, three years running. He’s been published by Vogue, Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appétit, Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, Martha Stewart, Airbnb, and Kinfolk, among others. As a self-taught photographer, Tec let nature be his teacher after falling in love with the art while traveling in Nepal at the age of 19, with his 35mm in tow.
Since then, Tec has married his love of photography and travel, photographing all over the world for wedding, commercial, and humanitarian work—from Indonesia to Portugal, Ireland to Malaysia, Bali to Uganda, and lots in between. He lives in Nashville, TN with his wife, Chelsea, and their two daughters.

With a degree in fine art, a stint in education, and a calligrapher for a father, Chelsea Petaja (the CHEL of TECHEL & Co) eventually found a way to make handwriting her career. Her lettering work has managed its way to the pages of Vogue, The Knot, BRIDES, Martha Stewart, and AFAR. And though not a photographer by trade, she did grow up with a dark room in her basement and made a pinhole camera in high school, so that’s got to count for something.
Chelsea’s love for people and details have made her the perfect person to keep TECHEL & Co’s day-to-day tasks up and running, while simultaneously providing a keen sense of aesthetics and design knowledge. She lives in Nashville, TN with her husband, Tec, and their two daughters.
